| | Systems Engineer The successful candidate is a technical expert and self-motivated individual who is able to lead all aspects of (1) audio, video, data and control systems planning,
design, implementation and project management; and (2) emerging technology research and development.
1. System Operations
-Plan, design and implement Audio, Video, Media and Control System infrastructure
-Develop integration, test and support plans that achieve superb reliability and
usability
-Plan and manage projects to meet aggressive schedules and objectives
2. Emerging Technology R & D
-Research on technologies and solutions on leading edge audio, video, media and home control technologies
-Incubate emerging technologies that have disruptive applications
-System design, integration, testing and prototyping, and being at the forefront of new design innovations
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Seven years of proven experience, or experience plus equivalent education, in
high-end AV systems design and development.
2. Track-record architect, team leader and project management experience in AV and control system engineering.
3. Firm command of current AV technologies and products with ability to evaluate and integrate existing technologies into new design models.
4. Solid hands-on skills on AV and control system hardware installation, diagnostics through test equipment such as multi-meters, signal generators and analyzers, termination, soldering, cable management, and schematics and block diagrams documentation via AutoCAD and/or Visio.
5. Desirable skills: Experience with design and implementation of acoustics and/or acoustical engineering, familiarity with Crestron and/or AMX control systems and associated programming experience, and CEDIA training and/or certifications
6. Superb technical documentation skills, attention to detail, excellent verbal and
communication skills, managing time effectively and according to priorities.
7. To be successful in this challenging position, it requires a strong startup
entrepreneur mindset, maturity, and professionalism.
8. A bachelors’ degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Physics or Mathematics is required. Masters degree or higher is preferred.
